Today’s Mouflon Chess Challenge Quarter-Final match is between Cyprus No.2 Alexandros Isaakidis and Fivos Kourouyiannis from Nicosia. Watch it LIVE at 8 PM!

Alexandros Isaakidis

Alexandros Isaakidis is currently ranked number 2 in Cyprus with 2211 FIDE Standard Rating (The ratings were updated 1 April 2020). Alexandros Isaakidis is participating in his first Cyprus Closed Chess Championship with the ultimate aim of winning the title. Last year in 2019 on top board for the Paphos Chess Club he led them to their maiden Cyprus Club Chess Championship title. 

Fivos Kourouyiannis

Fivos Kourouyiannis is from Nicosia. Currently ranked number 19 in Cyprus with 1753 FIDE Standard Rating (The ratings were updated 1 April 2020). He has qualified for the first time this year for the Cyprus Closed Chess Championship. 


The statistics make Alexandros Isaakidis favourite as the score between the two is 2-0. A small breakdown: Alexandros Isaakidis was White in both games once in standard and once in rapid time-control.
