Regulations

Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus is organizing the Cyprus Online Rapid Battle. The tournament will be played using the 7-round Swiss System. The time control will be 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment from move 1. There will be a minimum prize fund of 100 EUR!

Regulations

Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus invites all chess players to participate in the Cyprus Online Rapid Battle.

The organizers of the event is Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus. At any time, any circumstance or unforeseen situation not covered in these Regulations shall be decided by the Organizing Committee.

The tournament will be played using the 7-round Swiss System. 
The time control will be 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment from move 1.

Registration deadline is February 19th, 2021 at 22:00.
There is a €10 registration fee.

Pairings will be handled by Swiss Manager.
The rating list used will be the FIDE Rapid Rating List from 1 February 2021.
Tiebreaks will be announced during the Opening Ceremony.

Every player must have a working internet connection for the duration of the tournament. If
a player is disconnected from the server, the player must reconnect as soon as he can and
continue the game.
A player may lose their game due to slow or loss of internet connection.
The Chief Arbiter’s decisions cannot be appealed.

We will announce the Chief Arbiter and Arbiters at the Opening Ceremony.

There will be a minimum prize fund of 100 EUR!
1st Place: 50 EUR
2nd Place: 30 EUR
3rd Place: 20 EUR

Players will be required to join a Zoom Call. Players are required to use either a laptop or desktop computer as players need a camera and to share their screen.

Failure to adhere to the above fair play rules may result in the loss of a game.

The tournament will adhere to the FIDE Online Chess Regulations which can be found on the FIDE Website>>.
