CM Ioannis Damianou is the second player to qualify for the Mouflon Chess Challenge May 2020 Quarter-Final. CM Ioannis Damianou won against Matvei Lavrishchev 5,5 – 0,5 in yesterday’s Last 16 Match. The match was won after four games. Despite the heavy score, Matvei Lavrishchev played really well against the Cyprus Chess Champion. Especially in the second game the youngster put his rook endgame knowledge to the test as he held the draw with ease.
