# Mouflon Chess Tour 2020

After a successful Mouflon Chess Tour in the second half of 2019, Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus is proud to announce this year’s Mouflon Chess Tour.

## About

The Mouflon Chess Tour is a unique system that unites more than 10 chess tournaments annually all over Cyprus. The main idea of the Mouflon Chess Tour is to encompass all tournaments regardless of their format in a unified 12-month season. Another major objective of the Mouflon Chess Tour is to bring chess to all corners of the island and increase the visibility of the game. Participants receive points based on a points system devised by Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus. Chess players who earn the highest number of points during the Mouflon Chess Tour season are eligible to participate in the Mouflon Chess Cup. The Mouflon Chess Cup winner is declared the winner of the Mouflon Chess Tour.

## History

The first Mouflon Chess Tour started on 1 July 2019 and ended on 31 December 2019. 168 different participants have participated in the six tournaments which took place in Deryneia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Larnaca. Last year all events were played with the same regulations. This year Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus has decided to expand the Mouflon Chess Tour to include all events regardless of time-control that Let’s Learn Together – Cyprus will be organizing as well as other organizers who wish their events to be added to the Tour.
